Edgenuity  offers core classes, electives, AP courses, CTE, and credit recovery, all delivered through self‑paced, multimedia lessons.


What Edgenuity Classes Are Like

1. Course Formats & Series

  • Courses are grouped into series 

  • Offerings include Initial Credit and Credit Recovery

    • Initial Credit: ~90–100 instructional hours/year, includes teacher‑graded tasks.

    • Credit Recovery: Shorter (≈40–80 hrs), fewer graded pieces

2. Instructional Structure

  • Typically follows a 7‑part lesson: vocabulary activity, a video lecture, interactive practice (journals, labs), and quizzes/tests 

  • Lessons are self‑paced; students progress through modules within the platform.

  • Teachers or concept coaches provide remote support, office hours, and periodic check‑ins 

3. Curriculum Coverage

  • Many available across subject areas:

    • Core (English, Math, Science, Social Studies)

    • AP (e.g., AP U.S. History, AP Calculus)

    • Career & Technical Education (agriculture, business, health science, etc.)

    • Electives (Digital Media, Psychology, Personal Finance, etc.) 

  • Courses align to state and Common Core standards


Student Experience
